Ever Been Bored at Work!!!

Guess what, I am bored at work. I am pretty sure everyone has been bored at work when they have nothing important to do. You pretty much sit around at your cubicle or desk, and stare at the computer screen until you eyes pop out. You surf every website you can think of and chat with everyone you possibly have not chat with in ages. You try to catch up on everything and you still run out of things to do. SO WHAT DO YOU DO?

It Has Been a Long Time!!!

It has been 7 months since I last wrote in this blog. So I guess I can write one today since I am bored at work. My day wasn't too exciting, besides watching "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" at the theaters. Let's talk about movie pricing. It is insane these days. It cost me $8.50 for a matinee ticket, compared to when I was a kid, where it was like $3.75. Student tickets are $9 and adult tickets are $10. Watching a movie is kind of pricey; just imagine if you were still in high school and you had to take a girl out on a date to the movies. It would be kind of difficult if you did not have a job. It would be 20 dollars for two adult tickets, plus another $15 for popcorn, drinks, and etc. The minimum for a date to a movie would be at least 35 dollars. Anyways, just wanted to state the fact how movie prices have gone up.

So how was the new Harry Potter movie? It was great since my expectation wasn't too high for it considering the last two movies weren't that great. This one was very exciting and had a lot of action involved. Every scene contained a bit of action and the story was starting to move along towards the main plot. I give this movie 8 out of 10. Can't wait until the last 2 movies come out!!!!

Lady in the Water

Fairy tales, bedtime stories, legends, we all heard and read about it when we were children. As we grow older, we lose interest and do not believe in the fictional world anymore. Our imaginations die as we age. After watching Lady in the Water, it brings back the memories of the fairy tales, the fictional and magical stories we read as a child. It reminded me of the times when I was a child, where I played with toys and made them come to life in my imaginary mind. It made me feel alive again and wanting more. It makes you want to pick up a fantasy book and start reading again.

Lady in the Water is a movie with comprising elements that will make it different from many of the movies out there. The story is mysterious and keeps you in your seat throughout the whole film. There was never a dull moment. Like M. Night Shyamalan's other movies, it is very baffling, and it draws the audience in. It’s not as spectacular as his well-known movie “The Sixth Sense,” but based on my observation, I think it is a movie everyone should at least watch once. I give it 7 out of 10. Watch it and tell me what you think.

Frustrated Finding Something???

Were you ever frustrated at finding something you wanted to buy? Well, I have...Nintendo Wii Remote Controllers. First off, Nintendo is smart in the marketing department, selling a controller that requires two different components. The stupid thing is that why don't they sell the product in one set at the price of $59.99, instead of selling one item at $19.99
(Wii Nunchaku)
and the other item $39.99 (Wii Remote). I have never had so much trouble finding a product, but this thing is out of stock everywhere. I called like every place around my area and found the Wii Remote after X number of days. But the dumb thing is I would assume the shipment of remote would be equivalent to the number of Nunchaku. I guess not, because the shipment of remote came in, and I picked one up at Gamestop, but there was no shipment of Nunchaku with the Remote, so disappointing. Another thing, workers at the store should not give false information of having it in stock because I called Target, and the employee said that it was in stock. When I arrived, he checked the back and there was none. Such an ass, waste of my time and gas. This not only happened once, but twice. I called Circuit City and the same thing happens. Well, good luck to all who is looking for things to buy this Christmas.

Halloween Carnaval 2006 in West Hollywood

During Halloween night, I went to the Carnaval in West Hollywood with a couple of friends. I read that there will be over 500,000 people there each year and I was surprised by the amount of people
that were actually there. This was my first block party, and it is something everyone should experience for themselves. The worst part of the event is finding parking, we had to park like half mile away and it took a hour to find the damn spot...the best part was seeing so many people dressed in great costumes..such as these two guys that came as YouTubes. (Note to self, next year I need a better costume)
The fun started when we went to a bar for some alcohol, I believe it was a gay bar, but I could be wrong. Being buzz makes things a lot more fun....we pretty much chilled outside of the bar until we finished most of our drinks...then we wander again around the streets and got some bacon dogs and mexican corn....yummmy.

Playstation Shortage Again!!!

I just read in the Official U.S. Playstation Magazine that the initial shipment of the PS3 will be 400,000 units, that is 100,000 units short from the initial shipment of the PS2. You remember what happened during the PS2 launch: massive camp outs nationwide; in Japan, they camped out 2 or 3 days before hand just to obatin a PS2; eBAY bids for a PS2 unit reaching up 1500 to 2000 U.S dollars. What will happen this time around? Massive riots, and gaming fanatics looting each other!!!! Not!!! In time, we will find out. Japan's Official Launch date is November 11, 2006 and the U.S. Launch date will be November 17, 2006.
